Unfortunately for Transitsearch.org, the argument of perihelion (omega=291.5 deg) puts the angle of close approach well away from the line of sight to the star (omega=90 deg). The probability of transit for HD 80606b is thus low, but definitely worth the effort of looking. HD 80606b's close approach mean that tidal heating of the planet is considerable, and the size of the planet may be quite large, making for a deep transit! The uncertainty in the transit time is large enough so that observations should be made within a window of two days to either side of the predicted transit center.
