1.5-inch Newtonian

Here is a 1.5-inch Newtonian belonging to Jack Eastman. Slide taken at the 1993 RTMC. What is unique about this telescope is that the 1.5-inch mirror came from the core of the very first Celestron Schmidt Cassegrain telescope manufactured. Jack worked at Celestron back in the early days. He is with the Denver Astronomical Society and here is link to a few interesting articles about him.
