Ναός Καρδακίου 510 π.Χ

This is interesting, the site of Kardakiou. Just went a read that there was originally a church on the site. The church was damaged during a storm and that led to the discovery of the ruins. Of course many churches in Greece were built on archaeological sites in order to wean the people away from the old system of gods. One more thing to go and visit the next time that I am in Corfu. -Fred
