I ran across my June 1959 issue of Scientific American the other day. On the cover is a photograph of the Antikythera Mechanism. There is an eight page article talking about the mechanism. I gather that some of the information in the article may be outdated, but if anyone wants a copy, I can send it by e-mail. I did scan the article at a large file size. If one would like a smaller file size, please let me know.
