To P2 επιτρεπει να περασουν όλα τα μήκη κυματος εκτος απο αυτά των λαμπών που προκαλούν την φωτορύπανση, χωρίς βέβαια να εμποδίζει κάποια μήκη κύματος απο λάμπες πυρακτώσεων και των αυτοκινήτων. Το V4 τα κόβει όλα εκτος απο Ha, Hb, OIII, σαν να είχαμε τραβήξει τρεις ανεξάρτητες φωτογραφίες με τα ξεχωριστά αντιστοιχα φίτρα και τις είχαμε συνθέσει σε μια. Καταπληκτικό για εγχρωμο CCD. Και όλα βασίζονται στην ολική ανάκλαση των ανεπιθυμητων μηκών κύματος στα διάφορα υποστρώματα του φίλτρου.

Πράγματι το Μ57 θέλει μεγαλύτερα εστιακά μήκη, αλλά είναι ωραίο το μεγάλο πεδίο χωρίς βέβαια να αποκαλύπτονται οι λεπτομέρειες του. Για το φίλτρο δεν έχεις δίκαιο γιατί είναι φτιαγμένο να επιτρέπει μόνο τις φασματικές γραμμές Ηα, Ηβ, ΟΙΙΙ και ότιδήποτε αλλο να το απορίπτει. Αρα κάνει για όλα τα νεφελώματα. Δυστυχώς δεν μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για γαλαξίες.
