PGC catalogue

Υπάρχουν πουθενά χάρτες για αυτά τα αντικείμενα;

Κατέβασα ένα αρχείο το οποίο "ενσωματώνει" τους χάρτες στο Cartes du Ciel αλλά δεν γνωρίζω να το χρησιμοποιώ καθόλου.

Ως εκ τούτου θα ήθελα να μάθω εάν υπάρχουν ΄χαρτες-προς εκτύπωση- με αυτά τα αντικείμενα.

Hi Fred,thank you for your post.It was helpfull but i was wondering if there are any maps that include PGC objects as well.I found this site http://www.myspaceastronomy.com/constellations.php that gives objects in every constellation,and points out if an objects has been catalogued more than once.

For example in Leo Minor the galaxy UGC 5829 is also listed as PGC 31923 .But the problem is that in pocket sky atlas there arent many UGC objects.

But it is for Cartes du ciel right?

Yes, when one goes to install the main program, prior to adding the additional catalogs, it shows that the program being installed is Cartes du Ciel. So I don't believe that you will have issues. I will go ahead and see if I can download the catalog to my pc.

 

I already had the file loaded. It is labeled PGC/LEDA.

I have downloaded the PGC catalogue (which one version redirects to a page that i had previously downloaded the catalogue) but the problem lies in the fact that i do not know how to use Ciel properly.I have never used it,so that's why i asked for some ready-to-print maps.

Another nice program that I have is titled C2A Planetarium Software. When one activates the PGC catalog, the letters PGC and the number show up next to the galaxy.

 

I will have to check on to print from the C2A program. It may be easier than Cartes du Ciel.
