Yes, John Focas was very good at making accurate drawings, that is for sure.

 

Another example of good observing and drawing are the radial spokes in Saturn's rings. They were first drawn through a telescope before being "discovered" by Voyager 1 in 1980.

Fred did you know that Fokas got two craters with his name, one on Mars and one on Moon.

 

The wonderful think is that he was drawing with both two hands and with 8 pencils at his hands (between the finger)

Observing and drawing with four pencils in each hand? Yes, that is amazing, and it would have been nice to capture that skill on video, provided that they had video back then.
