Τον οπτικό σωλήνα των έχω και αξίζει, αν και το SW 10'' σε σχέση με το C6 έχει σχεδόν τριπλάσια φωτεινότητα χωρίς να παραχωρείς το GOTO. Για την βάση δεν γνωρίζω, καθώς η δική μου είναι υψαζιμουθιακή (Nexstar) λένε όμως πως ενώ είναι καλή για παρατήρηση, στην φωτογράφιση έχει κάποιους περιορισμούς τεχνικής φύσεως.

Ωραία θα είναι η παρατήρηση στην Νάξο, ειδικά τον χειμώνα που ελαττώνεται η φωτορρύπανση.

Γιατί να σας καταραστώ; Αφού σας αγαπάω! Την υγειά μας να έχουμε, θα έρθουν και άλλες νύκτες.

Εμείς δεχθήκαμε επίσκεψη συγγενών, οπότε ναυάγησαν τα σχέδια. Κατά τις 2:00- 3:00 ο άνεμος σήκωνε καρέκλες και υπήρχαν άφθονα σύννεφα, μέχρι και σήμερα το μεσημέρι. Ο αέρας συνεχίζεται ακόμη, γενικώς ηπιότερος μα με σποραδικές εξάρσεις, αν και τα σύννεφα διαλύθηκαν ολοσχερώς. Δεν αποφασίζει να σταθεροποιηθεί ο καιρός φέτος. Το ''εξοχικό'' SW 8'' έμεινε άκαπνο αλλά δεν πειράζει, a la prochaine fois. Εσείς το διασκεδάσατε: γνωριμίες, πλακίτσα, περιπέτεια. Μπράβο.

Ίσως το έχεις δει αλλά να μην γνώριζες τι να περιμένεις ή πως να το παρατηρήσεις. Συνήθως βλέπεις μια θολούρα και πρέπει να μείνεις πάνω από τον φακό ώστε να προσαρμοστεί ο οφθαλμός και να χρησιμοποιήσεις πλάγια όραση για να αναδειχθεί κάποια λεπτομέρεια. Αν περάσεις γρήγορα πάνω από το αντικείμενο δεν θα το δεις. Πρέπει να σταματήσεις για να φανεί. Όσο μεγαλύτερη εστιακή έχει ο φακός (χαμηλή μεγέθυνση) τόσο πιθανότερο να το δεις. Πρώτον θα έχεις μεγαλύτερο πεδίο και δεύτερον, θα συγκεντρωθεί όλη η λαμπρότητα σε μια μικρότερη επιφάνεια. Θα μοιάζει όμως με μια θολή μπαλίτσα από βαμβάκι ή με ένα μη εστιασμένο αστέρι ανάμεσα σε άλλα, εστιασμένα. Όταν το βρεις βάζεις υψηλότερη μεγέθυνση και το μελετάς.

Forgotten Planet, Too Too Flesh, Doug Dorph, 2000 I ask my daughter to name the planets. "Venus ...Mars ...and Plunis!" she says. When I was six or seven my father woke me in the middle of the night. We went down to the playground and lay on our backs on the concrete looking up for the meteors the tv said would shower. I don't remember any meteors. I remember my back pressed to the planet Earth, my father's bulk like gravity next to me, the occasional rumble from his throat, the apartment buildings dark-windowed, the sky close enough to poke with my finger. Now, knowledge erodes wonder. The niggling voce reminds me that the sun does shine on the dark side of the moon. My daughter's ignorance is my bliss. Through her eyes I spy like a voyeur. I travel in a rocket ship to the planet Plunis. On Plunis I no longer long for the past. On Plunis there are actual surprises. On Plunis I am happy.
