Unfotunately, this is not the kind of news that one likes to receive. I first met Kosta in October of 1994 when he received his first telcope, a 10-inch Newtonian. Since then we had quite a few evenings under the starry skies in Attica and other interesting episodes, like the night we were coming doen from Mt.Penteli and three police cars forced us to stop. That was weird scene. The police never asked me a single question. Hah! But Kosta forgot his license at home. I guess that his being a Doctor and all that, they didn't give him to much grief. He had also written and published a book in Greek "A Doctor in Africa". He loved Africa and as Manos mentions above, founded an organizastion for helping wih the needy in different countries. A few years ago, going out to my old friend George Staphanopoulos's home, we came across a car accident. As typical, Kosta stopped to render aid to the driver until an ambulance arrived. There are others who have their own stories to share about Kosta or "Dr. Afrika" as I used to also call him. Oh yes, he also had an appreciation for modern music from Afica. Kosta, you will be missed by all of us. I hope that you fervently believed in the Resurrection and unto eternal life through Jesus Christ. As your friend all that I can say is... until we meeet again. Your Friend, Fred
