    - Μπράβο σου Δημήτρη - πολύ λεπτομερής κατασκευή - very nice !! Και όπως είπαι ο φίλος μας ο Στέφανος επίσης είναι και ο καθρέφτης καλός. Εάν θα μπορούσα να προτείνω ένα πράγμα, για ένα τηλεσκόπιο 10in τα side bearings πρέπει να είναι τουλάχιστον 6in (diameter) και τα τεφλόν pads separated 65 έως 70 degrees apart - αυτό θα εγγυησει ότι οι κινήσεις του θα είναι πολύ ομαλές. Μερικοί φίλοι λένε ότι τα side bearings πρέπει να είναι η ίδια διάμετρος με τον καθρέφτη .. Χρόνια πολλα.

    Hi Fred, The capacity of this mount is amazing - rated at 250 lbs - thats approx: 115 kgs !! As per the announcement "Price will be between $19,000 and $20,000 PLUS the price of the pier and counterweights etc just like the other AP mounts" I am not putting my name down for one of these babies, however I Can't wait to see and examine them up close.     Comet LONEOS Over the next month this comet is predicted to increase in brightness to 4th magnitude. Comet LONEOS (C/2007 F1) is making its first visit to the inner solar system. On Oct. 29th it will approach the Sun almost as close as Mercury.     Hey Fred, I have seen similar eyepiece Solar Filters that were supplied with some telescopes from the 50's and 60's - perhaps safety regulations were not as strict or simply they did not know better - but I could not believe that these would even be allowed today !! Παιδιά, όπως είπε ο Fred - χρειαζετε μεγάλη προσοχή - μακρυά από τέτοια εξαρτήματα.

    Πολλά σχόλια έχουν εμφανιστεί σχετικά με την τιμή του Ethos- Εδώ ο φίλος έκανε τους ακόλουθους υπολογισμούς: "In another topic it was announced that the new 13mm Ethos is priced at $620. The original Nagler 13mm was introduced in 1980 at a price of $250. I just ran an online Cost of Living calculator that says $250 in 1980 is equivalent to $624 in 2007...deja vu all over again... " Ένας άλλος φίλος είπε ότι: "ένα τηλεσκόπιο αξία $10,000 του αξίζει ένα προσοφθάλμιο $620 δολαρίων" Τελικά πιστεύω ότι είναι θέμα αντίληψης.

    Al Nagler with Frank and the 13mm Ethos Eyepiece
    Hi Fred, Your 13mm Nagler is a wonderful eyepiece, I have the 12mm Nagler (1.25"/2" hybrid) and I have no plans on selling it. I would have also loved to see the 13mm Ethos on a 25in or larger Dob - maybe soon !! This 13mm Ethos eyepiece so wide that initially it takes your eye a few seconds to adjust to the field - I found it helps you adjust if you fully extend the rubber eyepiece guard, once adjusted I rolled it back down and marvelled at the view. Once you get used to it you can look away and then back into the eyepiece with no problems - your eye somehow remembers - At night, I deliberately placed Jupiter and its moons just outside the FOV and waited - there was no Coma as the moons slowly came back into view and Jupiters disk remained nice and sharp. The eyepiece was used with Al's NP127 Refractor serial #001 which gave us a magification of 51x. I would have liked to test this eyepiece at higher magnifications but there were many other fellow conventioneers anxiously waiting to take a peek. Looks like Al has another winner !! Frank

    Κατερινα, Adam: Σε αυτά τα πράγματα ο Al Nagler είναι πρώτος - (He is a smart Business Man) Που αλλου μπορεί να κάνει καλύτερη διαφήμιση αλλά με τους amateur αστρονόμους ?? Εάν παρευρίσκεστε σε οποιοδήποτε Major Star Party στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες (στα περισσότερα) ο Al Nagler θα είναι εκεί - τώρα τελευταία έρχεται και ο γιος του ο David. Eντούτοις η αλήθεια να λεγετε: Tα προϊόντα της Televue είναι κορυφαία. Φαίνεται ότι ο Al Nagler έχει και άλλον νικητή με το Ethos 13mm.

    - Τον Αύγουστο είχα την ευκαιρία να δω και να εξετάσω το νέο Ethos 13mm προσοφθάλμιο. Απίστευτο FOV - Very Sharp across the whole FOV Τη νύχτα το εξέτασα στον Δία - έβαλα τον Δία κοντά στην άκρη και η εικόνα παρέμενε Sharp - (Jupiters Bands were clearly visible with no abberations or coma) Here is an image of the Ethos 13mm with Al Nagler and myself: http://www.astrovox.gr/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=4525
