Evans, this is different question. 1) - Answer to your original question is Yes, it can be doublestacked. I'm not sure though, if double stacking that instrument can be done with absolutely no reduction of it's aperture(70mm). i think that <0.5pass views for that scope can only be delivered through a 60mm filter(the reduction i was talking about...), I hope i'm wrong!!! So, my question is that if there's any possibility of having that scope double stacked keeping it's plenty of aperture!! 2)- Because Coronado ONLY sells 40mm 60mm + 90mm filters you have no choice but to install the smaller 60mm on the Solarmax 70. Unless of course you want to install the 90mm over the 70mm, thus retaining your full 70mm aperture. Check your wallet and see if this 90mm solution is worth the extra $$$. I believe all SolarMax include a T-Max de-tuning filter Our club owns the Solarmax 70 which is used at full Aperture (70mm) and gives us a bandpass of <0.8 angstroms. A member in our club owns a TAK 130mm and uses the Coronado 90mm filter which gives him a Bandwidth of <0.7 angstroms. For more technical data check here: http://www.coronadofilters.com/
