Sirs, During a local amateur astronomy conference I had the chance to see the new CPC800 (with standard coatings) up close and appreciate it for the quality and advanced telescope that it is. However, I was absolutely shocked to see its price, from the local dealer. 2995 Euros! That is absolutely exorbitant. For that price I could get a CPC 11" XLT from a US dealer, with change to spare. For the price difference I could fly to the states, get a unit and come back. Why this huge price difference? Is it just here in Greece, or is it Europe-wide? And if so why? Are we Europeans not entitled to quality reasonably priced telescopes? Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Dionysis Kefallinos
