Απλό είναι. Τόσο ο εγκέφαλος σε ασυνείδητο επίπεδο, όσο και όλο το υπόλοιπο σώμα αξιοποιούν τους φυσικούς νόμους, τα μαθηματικά (βλ μουσική) και τις εξελικτικές ανακαλύψεις του φαινομένου της ζωής πολύ πριν γίνουν συνειδητές έννοιες ή αντικείμενο μελέτης ή τμήμα ενός θεωρητικού συστήματος. Το γνωστικό σύστημα αντιμετώπιζε ενιαία το χωρόχρονο πριν συστηματοποιηθεί αυτή η γνώση, όπως ο άνθρωπος κολυμπούσε πριν διατυπώσει την υδροδυναμική θεωρία. Μέχρι να αναπτυχθεί η επιστήμη, το συνειδητό κατέφευγε στη μεταφυσική για να εξηγήσει πράγματα που το κύτταρο και το σώμα εφαρμόζουν επί εκατομμύρια χρόνια εντός του φυσικού πεδίου. Ναι. Όπως ο άνθρωπος είχε ανέκαθεν DNA, αλλά το ανακάλυψε 50 χρόνια μετά τον Einstein.

Δεν είμαι σίγουρος. Ο άνθρωπος αντιμετωπίζει τον χρόνο σαν 4η διάσταση και μάλιστα τον αντιλαμβάνεται ευκολότερα από την τρίτη (καθώς ο άνθρωπος έχει περιορισμένη κινητικότητα σε αυτήν σε σχέση με τους αετούς ή τις φώκιες). Διαθέτουμε και μια ποκιλία βιολογικών ρολογιών αλλά και χρονομέτρων. Η κλασσική αντίληψη του χρόνου είναι ως τέταρτης διάστασης. Πριν τον Νεύτωνα ή τον Leibniz, οι αρχαίοι ιστορικοί προσδιόριζαν τον χώρο σε συνάρτηση με το χρόνο. Καί όταν ένας Πετρίτης βουτά προς το θήραμά του χαρτογραφεί τον χωρόχρονο στον εγκέφαλό του, όπως έκανε και ένας αρχαίος σφενδονήτης.

Νομίζω πως η αντίληψη του χρόνου ως 4ης διάστασης είναι εγγενής ικανότητα του ανθρωπίνου όντος, σε αντίθεση με την αντίληψη του τετραδιάσταστου χώρου. Από τις 5 διαστάσεις και πάνω ο εγκέφαλος μπλοκάρει, εκτός αν έχει σπουδάσει μαθηματικά (ή γεννηθεί ως μαθηματική ιδιοφυΐα). Η αντίληψη του χρόνου ως διάστασης φαίνεται στην ικανότητα βολής που χαρακτήριζε τους κυνηγούς/ τροφοσυλλέκτες προγόνους μας, πριν αναπτύξουν τη μαθηματική σκέψη. Προφανώς είναι εγγενής και σε πολλά πτηνά και θηλαστικά (αν όχι όλα).

Airplane II: The Sequel, Ken Finkleman, 1982 Ανάμεσα στις δύο ταινίες του Brooks κυκλοφόρησε το sequel του Airplane που έκλεψε την παράσταση και τη δόξα. Αυτό προτίμησε να διακωμωδήσει την ηρωική πραγματικότητα του Space Shuttle, παρά το φαινόμενο της εποχής, το Star Wars.

History of the World, Part I, Jews in Space Ad, Mel Brooks, 1981 Βλέποντας αυτήν την ταινία, στην οποία εμφανίζεται ο σπόρος της ιδέας που μετουσιώθηκε στο Spaceballs, δεν μπορούσα να κρατήσω τα μάτια μου στεγνά για να παρακολουθήσω. Δάκρυζα συνεχώς από τα γέλια. Ήταν η εποχή της αθωότητας, η εποχή του Top Secret και του Airplane.
