Και οι Celestron/ Orion Shorty Plus είναι καλοί, όπως και οι Antares/ GTO Proxima (2")

Είχα και εγώ τον SW 21-7 και έχει στενότατο πεδίο. Ο TS πρέπει να είναι ο ίδιος. Σκέψου τους zoom σαν μία κλίμακα. Στη βάση βρίσκονται οι 21-7, ασχέτως μάρκας Παραπάνω οι περισσότεροι 24-8, σαν τον Celestron (και τους Televue, William Optics, Vixen κλπ) Ακόμη πιο πάνω ο Baader Hyperion Zoom 24-8 και ο William Optics/ Orion 22.5- 7.5 Ακόμη παραπάνω διάφοροι εξωτικοί, όπως Leica, Swarofski κλπ. Starlight, Philip Levine, 1991 My father stands in the warm evening on the porch of my first house. I am four years old and growing tired. I see his head among the stars, the glow of his cigarette, redder than the summer moon riding low over the old neighborhood. We are alone, and he asks me if I am happy. "Are you happy?" I cannot answer. I do not really understand the word, and the voice, my father's voice, is not his voice, but somehow thick and choked, a voice I have not heard before, but heard often since. He bends and passes a thumb beneath each of my eyes. The cigarette is gone, but I can smell the tiredness than hangs on his breath. He has found nothing, and he smiles and holds my head with both his hands. Then he lifts me to his shoulder, and now I too am among the stars, as tall as he. Are you happy? I say. He nods in answer, Yes ! oh yes ! oh yes ! And in that new voice he says nothing, holding my head tight against his head, his eyes clsoed up against the starlight, as though those tiny blinking eyes of light might find a tall, gaunt child holding his child against the promises of autumn, until the boy slept never to waken in that world again.

Πως μου διέφυγε; Όταν δεν μπορείς να κάνεις τίποτε για τις λάμπες, μπορείς να κάνεις κάτι για τα μάτια σου. Το φοβερό αστρογιλέκο ή ένα μαύρο ύφασμα "φωτογράφου" θα σε αποκόψει από τον σκληρά φωτισμένο σκοτεινό κόσμο και θα σε βοηθήσει να βυθιστείς στο φωτεινό σύμπαν του κοσμικού σκότους.

Γι' αυτούς τους λόγους οι αναστρέψιμες λύσεις είναι ενδεδειγμένες, αν και τα περιστατικά που αναφέρεις σχετίζονται με άλλους παράγοντες (κατάχρηση αλκοόλ, οικονομική εξαθλίωση, κοινωνιοπαθητικότητα και άλλα) και όχι με ένδεια φωτονίων. Το μπαράκι που καθόμουν πριν από λίγο, όπως και πολλά στο Αλεποχώρι, φώτιζε την θάλασσα απλώς και μόνο για να κάνει εφέ, όχι για να αποτρέψει τον βιασμό καμμιάς γόπας υποθέτω. Τελικά η καλύτερη λύση είναι να κάψεις βενζίνη και να πας μακρύτερα. Όσο για το σπίτι η χρήση πετασμάτων όπως του kookoo. Αλλά το παιδί μέσα μας επιτρέπεται να ονειρεύεται πως μπορεί να λύνει τα προβλήματα έτσι απλά, με μια σφεντόνα, όχι;

Θα την μάθεις την ευθυγράμμιση, δεν είναι κάτι σπουδαίο. Ακόμη και τέλεια να μην γίνει και πάλι θα βλέπεις, μην σε παρασύρουν οι ψυχαναγκασμοί μας. Αν έχεις αυτοκίνητο η μεταφορά ενός 8" ή 10" ενιαίου σωλήνα είναι εύκολη, αρκεί να δεχθείς πως θα θυσιάσεις το πίσω κάθισμα.

Τάσο, επειδή το είχα και εγώ αυτό, δεν ήθελε κόπο, ήθελε τρόπο. Συγκεκριμένα έπρεπε να κεντράρεις το σωλήνα στον πρόσθιο δακτύλιο σφίγγοντας αρκετά τις βίδες (οι οποίες διαθέτουν πλαστικά άκρα ώστε να μην πληγώνουν το χρώμα) και κατόπιν ρυθμίζεις μόνο με τις βίδες του οπίσθιου δακτυλίου. Εγώ το πούλησα επειδή σήκωνε πολύ ψηλά τον ερευνητή (κάτι που δεν χρειάζεται με έναν RACI) και προτίμησα την εφαπτόμενη βάση ταχείας εναλλαγής της Celestron. Με μια παρόμοια βάση τον χρησιμοποιώ και στο C6. Αν βρω άλλη μία θα τον βάζω και στο SW 8".

Όταν ήμουν παιδί (μιλάμε για δεκαετία του '70) είχα έναν πύραυλο με αλεξίπτωτο, εκτοξευόμενο με καταπέλτη. Διέθετε μια θυρίδα όπου το αλεξίπτωτο από Nylon ήταν διπλωμένο. Ο μεντεσές της θυρίδας ήταν προς την μύτη- κατά τ΄άλλα η θυρίδα άνοιγε ελεύθερα. Όταν εκτοξευόταν, η αεροδυναμική κρατούσε την θυρίδα κλειστή. Όταν έφτανε στο μέγιστο ύψος της βαλλιστικής τροχιάς, η αεροδυναμική άνοιγε την θυρίδα που λειτουργούσε ως αερόφρενο και απελευθερωνόταν το αλεξίπτωτο. Λειτουργούσε τέλεια, φθάνει να τυλιγες κάθε φορά το αλεξίπτωτο σωστά. Ήταν σαν και αυτό (εμένα άνοιγε ανάποδα και δεν είχε αυτόν τον κίτρινο μοχλό): Να αυτό που θέλεις: Η πυραυλική είναι on topic, έτσι;

Όταν φυσά ο άνεμος που κινεί τις ανεμογεννήτριες το seeing χαλά ούτως ή άλλως και αν είσαι χαμηλότερα από αυτές, ακόμη και να μην υπήρχαν, η παρατήρηση επάνω από ένα βουνό δεν είναι ενδεδειγμένη. Όταν είσαι υψηλότερα και μακρυά δεν δημιουργούν τόσο πρόβλημα και τα Strobe lights (αυτά που έχω δε εγώ τουλάχιστον) είναι ερυθρά, όπως όλα τα φώτα σήμανσης για τα αεροπλάνα (σε καμινάδες, κεραίες κλπ). Από την άλλη, αν η Ψωροκώσταινα δεν μπορεί να αξιοποιήσει σωστά τις ανεμογεννήτριες, τους υδροηλεκτρικούς σταθμούς και τα φωτοβολταϊκά συστήματα, ίσως δεν θα μπορούσε να αξιοποιήσει και τους σταθμούς πυρηνικής ενέργειας. Ακόμη και οι Ρώσοι, Αμερικανοί και Ιάπωνες έχουν ζήσει πυρηνικά ατυχήματα. Από την άλλη είμαστε αναγκασμένοι να υποστούμε τα πυρηνικά ατυχήματα των Ουκρανών, Τούρκων και Βουλγάρων (κατά άλλους ακόμη και των Ιαπώνων ή Αυστραλών) χωρίς να έχουμε κάποιο όφελος, άρα γιατί να μην το ρισκάρουμε; Πολύπλοκο θέμα. Θυμίζω πάντως πως εκτός από ενέργεια οι σταθμοί αυτοί παράγουν και ιατρικά ισότοπα που σώζουν εκατομμύρια ζωές κάθε χρόνο με την διαγνωστική και θεραπευτική τους χρήση.

Καινούριο ή μεταχειρισμένο, είναι ένα μικρό ποίημα και αξίζει να το αποκτήσει κανείς. Η διαφορά από τον 1.25" της Celestron με το πρίσμα είναι χαώδης.

Έχει κάποιος μια ιδέα για την ομοαξονική προσαρμογή ενός WO 66ED επάνω στο 12"; Σίγουρα δεν μπορεί να μπει στο άκρο αλλά μόνο ακριβώς επάνω από το σημείο στήριξης με την βάση, ώστε να υπάρχει ισορροπία. Πως θα μπορούσα να βάλω μια βασούλα ταχείας απελευθέρωσης εκεί; Θα μπορούσα να βάλω ένα Witty ή κάτι τέτοιο;
