Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, Γραμματόσημο, 2011 Μεσολάβησε η παρατήρηση του Ρώσου μεγαλοφυούς επιστήμονα και καλλιτέχνη (ποιητής και αναβιωτής της τέχνης του ψηφιδωτού) Λομονόσωβ το 1761, ο οποίος δυστυχώς δεν έζησε για να συμμετέχει και το 1769 αφού απεβίωσε το 1765.

Διάβαση της Αφροδίτης, David Rittenhouse, 1769 Η παγκόσμια αυτή κινητοποίηση ήταν ένα από τα σημαντικότερα επιστημονικά γεγονότα του 18ου αιώνα.

The Hartwell Transit Room, 1769 Το 1769 υπήρξαν 350 επίσημοι παρατηρητές διασκορπισμένοι σε 130 περιοχές της γης.

Μνημείο για τον Jeremiah Horrocks, 2004 Ο William Crabtree και ο Jeremiah Horrocks έκαναν την πρώτη παρατήρηση διάβασης της Αφροδίτης το 1639.

Εύχομαι να τον χαρείς. Με ενδιέφερε αλλά τελικά πήρα την απόφαση και παρήγγειλα τον Delos 6 για την δουλειά αυτή. Μόνο που τον περιμένω ακόμη και έχει αργήσει. Ευχαριστώ για την προσφορά. Αν συναντηθούμε σε καμμιά παρατήρηση θα του ρίξω μια ματιά.

Εννοώ την διάθλαση του ηλιακού φωτός μέσα από την ατμόσφαιρα της Αφροδίτης, μεταξύ σημείων επαφής III και IV. Το φαινόμενο που παρατήρησε ο Λομονόσωβ.

Ναι, αυτό εννοούσα. Νόμιζα πως θα το δω, δεν το είχα καταλάβει πως δεν είναι ορατό στο μάτι. Δεν πειράζει, δεν ήταν και λίγο αυτό που είδαμε.

Μπράβο. Μεταφέρω εδώ μια ερώτηση που δεν έχει λάβει ακόμη απάντηση: Είδε κανείς το τόξο της Αφροδίτης;

Απόλυτη επιτυχία από Καστέλλα. Έξοχες συνθήκες, υπέροχο φαινόμενο, άφατα συναισθήματα. Την αψίδα την είδε κανείς; Ειρήνη, ο ήλιος σου στέγνωσε το τηλεσκόπιο. Αυτά ήταν ατμοί, μάλλον καλό ήταν που εξαχνίστηκαν. Άσε το καπάκι ανοικτό. Με το Maksutov δεν είχα τέτοιο φαινόμενο. Μαράκι, 17;

Εκτός αν σε ενδιαφέρει η GOTO κίνηση της βάσης. Αλλά και η απλή βάση του SW δεν είναι άσχημη. Ακούω τους άλλους να μιλάνε για ζυγίσματα κλπ, ενώ στα 3 SW μου απλώς σφίγγω το φρένο και το φορτώνω με κάτι φακούς γαϊδούρια δίχως πρόβλημα.

Που τερματίζει ο εστιαστής με τα 25mm, όλος μέσα ή όλος τραβηγμένος έξω;

Δεν υπάρχει πρόβλημα, μάλιστα πρέπει να έχει κάποιες πτυχώσεις για να δουλεύει σωστά. Πριν το βάλεις στο τηλεσκόπιο κράτα το ανάμεσα στον ήλιο (ή μια δυνατή λυχνία) και το μάτι σου. Αν κάπου υπάρχει "διαρροή" θα φανεί εύκολα.

Διορθώνει τα άκρα ο Barlow αλλά όχι τελείως, ούτε όλα τα προβλήματα ενός φακού. Αν έχεις την οικονομική δυνατότητα για καλό προσοφθάλμιο προτίμησέ το. Σχετικά με τους Barlow, επειδή οι τιμές τους είναι λογικές δεν υπάρχει λόγος να αγοράσεις μέτριο. Ακόμη και οι καλύτεροι (Astrophysics, Baader VIP, TMB 1.8x, Televue Powermate) είναι φθηνότεροι από αντίστοιχης ποιότητας φακούς. Με περίπου 100 ευρώ πάνω- κάτω αγοράζεις εξαιρετικούς, όπως τον Antares 1.5x (η πρότασή μου, είναι 1.7x στην πράξη), Celestron Ultima, Orion Shorty Plus (όχι τον απλό Shorty), Televue 2x, Baader 2.25x. Νομίζω και ο Vixen είναι ανάλογος. Μια φορά θα τα δώσεις, ενώ στους φακούς τουλάχιστον 3-4 φορές.
